Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he and his family have been abused on social media.
Arteta told him Pre-match press conference Before Leeds visits private fight.
He said he found it acceptable to him when abuse was directed at him, but when it came to his family it was a different story.
His comments came after the FA issued an open letter to Facebook and Twitter to crack down on abuse against many at the game.
“I would rather not [speak about it] But we are all exposed to that in the industry,” Arteta said when asked if he had been abused.
“It happened, the club realised it and we tried to do something about it. We have to live with it. It won’t stop tomorrow, but in the medium to long term, can we do something? That’s what I’m pushing for.
“I’m not the only one who suffers from these kinds of things. When you win, everything is fine, you’re incredible, you’re the best coach, but when you lose, it’s the exact opposite.
“It’s not pleasant when they attack me personally, but I can live with it. When it comes to family, it’s different. When these things happen, we do what we have to do. We can Do something in the medium to long term?”

It goes without saying that the abuse of Arteta and his family is disgusting and has no place in football.
Frustratingly, working as an elite manager comes with a gale of bile.
It’s scary when it has an impact on their loved ones, as was the case with Arteta.
Following his comments, some Arsenal fans tried to support their manager on social media:
